Llama Face!

So I read Twilight, because everyone was doing it, and I hated it! Thus I have never seen the movies. But, when I found this today on tumbler.com, from STUFF I LIKE. and you might too,  I had to post it right away.

I apologize in advance to all Twilight lovers, but this picture made me laugh really hard:

I think the resemblance is hilarious!

Edit: From the response I have gotten to this post I guess I have to clarify some things.

I apologize, given current pop culture I thought what I was referring to and who was pictured were obvious. I refrained from naming him in the first place because my purpose was not to draw specifically Twilight fans to this blog and then get derogatory comments, but I got derogatory comments anyways for “forgetting my readers.” This was not my goal as I thought Twilight was something people knew about, or at least would find the guys resemblance to the llama funny.

Twilight is a book series, by Stephanie Meyer, that is incredibly popular at the moment about vampires and werewolves. It was recently made into rather poor movies, and this is a a picture of a llama next to one of the  main actors of the film. His character’s name is Jacob Black (who is one of the werewolves), the actor’s name is Taylor Lautner.

So again, I apologize for any misunderstandings and I never meant to upset my readers or confuse them.

Mine That Bird!

The whole Conan and Jay Leno fiasco has been ridiculous and all over the news. For the record, I stand by Conan. I simply do not find Leno funny and he willing gave up the 11:30 Tonight Show to Conan. I also do not think it was fair for the network to want to leave Conan with the Tonight Show, but have it after Leno’s show. That would have left Conan in the same position he was in before Leno ever gave him the Tonight Show, and that is unfair. Plus, how could a show be called the “Tonight Show” if it is on after midnight?

Anyways, now that Conan is leaving the Tonight Show, he has decided to “waste” NBC’s money in his last few shows by introducing new comedy bits that are not really funny but simply extremely expensive. He probably did not spend all the money he claims on the items, but to think he did is funny.

The first night he introduced a new character he featured one of the world’s most expensive cars, the Bugatti Veyron, dressed as a mouse while playing expensively licensed music. Total cost: $1.5 million:

The second bit he did featured the race horse Mine that Bird, dressed in a mink Snuggie, and watching restricted NFL footage. Total price tag: $4.8 million:

The horse on the show was probably not the real race horse. Mine That Bird is a Canadian race horse, 15 hands tall, and is one of only 8 geldings to win the Kentucky Derby.

Here are some pictures of Mine That Bird:

Happy New Year!

2010 is almost here, I hope that everyone has a wonderful time celebrating! May the new year brings many wonderful opportunities and cute animal stories!

As my last post of 2009, may I present sleepy panda:

This is Tai Shan, who managed to do a somersault after he feel asleep. So cute!

Here he begins to fall asleep

Now he begins to tip forward

And he wakes up a bit surprised

But so adorable!

To read more about his story, see “Head over heels! The Giant Panda who did a roly-poly in his sleep.”

The Unexpected

Animals often end up where you would not expect them to be.

Here is an example of what can happen in Central Park:

I would love to see a little guinea pig parade! Luckily these three were soon intercepted by their owner and saved from the dangers of being free in New York.

Another unexpected site in New York:

Finally, you never know what you will see at the store!

I have never seen a bird on a leash before, but he is a cute duck! This is Hector, he lives with his owner in Australia.
