Watch this video with the sound on, the names of the horses are hilarious:
Update
Hi everyone! I wanted to apologize for the lack of recent posts. I am getting married Saturday, so my time has been spent working on all the last minute details for that instead of being able to blog.
I will post as often as I can in the next couple weeks, but I am also going on a honeymoon. So posts will come when they can!
Thank you for continuing to visit the blog and I hope to post more soon!
Penguin Chase
Here is a video I saw this morning of Humboldt penguins chasing a butterfly! They are so cute:
World’s Tallest Horse
Tonight on Inside Edition was a short segment showing the world’s tallest horse, a 6’9″ 3000 pound Clydesdale named Remington.
He eats 8 times more than a regular horse, drinks around 40 gallons of water a day, and wears a size 10 horse shoe.
Here he is next to a car:

Peacocks
I love peacocks, they are such pretty birds!
Here is the last one that I took a picture of, his name was something like Pedro:
Today I found some pictures at Treehugger of albino Peacocks:

Even without their color these birds are very magnificent!
Baskin Robins – America’s Birthday Cake
Baskin Robins has been featuring ads for different flavors of their ice cream, and also utilizing a cute animal to help them do so. Here is the ad for America’s Birthday Cake:
Microsoft
I was introduced to a neat article a little bit about that features 10 fun facts about Microsoft. The article appeared on Mashable, and was titled 10 Fun Microsoft Fact You Might Not Know.
Why would I mention such an article?
Because of the bonus fact at the very end of the article:
The Microsoft Campus is Full of Bunnies!
Apparently the bunnies are the result of people leaving their pets on the company’s campus, resulting in more bunnies!
This is not only a problem for Microsoft, but also affects other companies in the same area like Nintendo. This is called the Redmond Rabbit Problem, and there is a coalition dedicated to trying to come up with a good solution to help all the bunnies.

CavyMadness
While searching the internet for guinea pig related things I found cavymadness.com.
Here you can find all sorts of information about guinea pigs (also known as a cavy), where to adopt them, a store for gifts and books, and lots of pictures!
The store on the site is an amazing place! Here are some items you can buy:
1. Tote bag $6.50
2. CavyCozy$8.25
Guineas love to hide, it makes them feel safe and these are a cute and wonderful item to make your pet feel loved. These come in a variety of patterns, check the store out to see for yourself.
Guinea in a cozy:
3. Magnets $6.75
4. Note cards — assortments from $1.50 for a single card to $6.50 for a pack.
5. PigFeeps!
These are adorable little guinea pig statues. Each is a one of a kind, and they are currently on sale for $10.25.

They also have links to many other great sites that sell guinea pig themed and related items at their Madmarket.
If you are thinking about guinea pig ownership, please take a look at their care guide.
I love this site for what it can teach you about responsible pet ownership – always be an informed pet owner. A guinea pig, as with any other pet, should only be obtained after careful consideration of your life style and what the animal needs to be happy and healthy.
If you love or are interested in guinea pigs I encourage you to take a look at the site to see what they have to offer at cavymadness.com!
ReRun Inc.
Today on facebook I found out about ReRun Inc., a nonprofit organization which helps throughbred ex-racehorses find new homes. The program tests the horses before they are accepted and then rests and rehabilitates them as necessary. Through this organization you can adopt a new horse or help to sponsor those who are looking for a new life. The horses in the program are kept at farms across the United States.
Horses in the different areas have pictures, biographies, and prices listed on the website.
The above picture is of Sheikwithpleasure, a 12 year old gelding, who is available from the company’s New York Chapter for an adoption fee of $950.
Above is Buddy (Marrakech Sunset), from the New Jersey Chapter. He is a 12 year old chestnut throughbred gelding. His bio touts him as a very safe horse who because of arthritis can walk, trot, and canter but not jump. His adoption fee is $950.
ReRun also a very unique way of making money to help the organization by selling their Moneigh® Artwork. Their website explains: “The word “Moneigh®” came from combining the name of the famous artist, Monet, and the sound that a horse makes, a neigh. They are pieces of artwork created by horses using their muzzle, tail and hooves. Some of the greatest Thoroughbreds in racing have created Moneighs® to raise money for ReRun.”
Here is a picture of Point Given doing his artwork.
This picture is of Smarty Jones and his work.
